Good day! It has been summer like here in Southern California. The coast has been nice, but inland cities broke temperature records a couple days ago. Fullerton, in Orange County, had temperatures over 100 and power outages for hours.
On a more pleasant note,Tuesday was another creative day in 'the sewing circle', the class I go to every week with a bunch of great women! I have to share a couple things from last week because I forgot to take my camera. I did get some pictures by phone last week and a really nice quilt to share completed this week. Check them out...
Susan shared a whole group of darling aprons. She made one for a mom, 2 daughters and their American Girl Dolls. This is a really cute pattern with the bodice and pocket details. Susan made them really cute with the cupcake fabric and buttons.
Diane finished this great quilt using black and white and gold fabrics. She used dozens of fabrics and each square was different. Ginny, our resident long arm quilter, did the quilting in a 'chaos' pattern. All and all, it's a fantastic work of art!
Bobbie managed to finish up this fabulous quilt today. It was already quilted with all over stippling and she added the binding in class. The white squares were machine quilted with a floral pattern. I love the interesting patterns in this quilt! It's amazing all the different ways squares and triangles can become such unique quilt tops.
